This review was submitted by a reader, my thanks for the review, and apologies for the very large delay in posting it.
I wasn’t able to email them so requested it n the special requests section. When I checked the bed I had similar experience to one of yours as they’d put what looked like plastic liner bags between the mattress
and the padded topper. I didn’t feel too confident by it, but because I live in the UK and had driven, I’d brought some ‘just in case’ disposable bed pads in the car so put them on the bed as well. Ironically, in the two better prepared hotels [Hiltons in Cardiff and Swansea, see previous two reviews] my protection I was wearing contained
everything, but in the Cardiff hotel they leaked quite badly but thankfully the disposable bed pads I brought did what they needed to do.
When driving it’s always easier as don’t have the luggage restrictions as you do when flying, and diapers and pads take up so much room it’s just not possible to bring disposable bed pads as well.
The next time I come to America I’ll probably make sure to go to a Walmart to put some disposable bed pads in the rental car just in case any of the hotels I stay at do anything similar.
